Itsumo Rent-a-Car- Development of the Itsumo Brand
- Itochu Enex and Enex Group company Enex Auto develop and deploy the Itsumo family of brands to make Car-Life Stations local energy supply bases that provide a wide variety of services for car owners and occasional car users alike. Familiar Itsumo brands include Itsumo Rent-a-Car for preowned car rental, Itsumo Car Net for the preowned vehicle trading business, and Itsumo Repair for auto bodywork and repair services.

Consumers increasingly view cars as a means of transportation to be rented rather than bought and owned. In response to this trend away from car ownership, which is particularly prevalent among young people, in April 2009 the Itochu Enex Group launched the Itsumo Rent-a-Car preowned vehicle hire service at its existing Car-Life Stations. The service aims to contribute to the vitalization of local communities nationwide by making life more convenient for customers. It has also succeeded in attracting people who don't own cars to Car-Life Stations, there by tapping into a new customer segment. The service contributes substantially to earnings improvement for Car-Life Station operators.
