- When is your fiscal year-end and when do you announce financial results?

Our fiscal year ends March 31, but we announce financial results quarterly. Please see our IR calendar on our website for upcoming announcements. The calendar is updated regularly. If you subscribe to our IR mailing list, you can receive notifications of financial announcements almost immediately after they are made.

In July or August, we publish an Annual Report and the Enex Report, which combines a corporate profile, social and environmental report, and consolidated annual report. The corporate philosophy of the Enex Group is " Partnering with society and ordinary people – In the energy field, in the car, in the home." We define our business scope widely, from the energy used as a key component of social infrastructure to energy for enriching peoples' lives.
Itochu Enex has five main business divisions. The Industrial Material Division delivers optimal energy solutions to industry. The Car-Life Division supports every kind of car-life scene. The Global Trade Division promotes oil products trading and logistics functions worldwide. The Home-Life Division delivers environmentally friendly energy solutions and community-based household services. The Total-Life Division supports the creation of new lifestyles merging the car and the home lives.
As a company providing energy solutions, we endeavor to contribute to sustainable development by continually enhancing our CSR compliance function, covering environmental consciousness, security and safety, and a range of other issues of enduring importance to us.

We have strived to establish an efficient management system on a consolidated basis while increasing profitability. We use return on equity (ROE) and earnings per share (EPS) as management performance indices. We will continually strive towards improving the efficient use of assets and equity.

- What is your basic policy on profit distribution?

As a matter of basic policy on profit sharing, we are committed to continuously providing steady dividends to shareholders, with a consolidated payout ratio of 30% or more as a benchmark. To this end, we endeavor to reduce total assets and employ well-balanced funds within the Group from medium- and long-term perspectives. In line with the above policy, we paid a year-end dividend of ¥8 per share in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2011. For the next fiscal year, ending March 31, 2012, we plan to pay a dividend of ¥16 per share (including an ¥8 per share interim dividend). As for internal reserves, these are channeled into plant and equipment investment to strengthen our business platform and further increase our profits.

As of March 31, 2012, we had 9,348 shareholders (273 fewer than at March 31, 2011). Our top shareholder was Itochu Corporation.
