Collaboration for Reducing Supply Chain CO2 Emissions

We work together with our partners and other companies in our industries to advance the development of delivery networks, with the aim of building efficient transportation networks across the entire supply chain. As a Known Shipper under the revised Act on Rationalizing Energy Use, we are also taking action to lower CO2 emissions from product shipping. This includes offering eco-driving courses to contracted transportation service representatives, dispatchers, and drivers. In addition to promoting safe driving practices aimed at reducing accidents during shipping, these courses help to reduce CO2 emissions throughout the supply chain by teaching eco-friendly habits such as turning off the engine when stopped, fuel-saving driving techniques, and anger management. Similar training is also provided to our employees who operate company vehicles.

Nationwide Logistics Safety Conference

Asphalt Department holds meetings of the Nationwide Logistics Safety Conference with transportation companies and partner companies involved in land transport. We work to strengthen awareness of and initiatives for the entire supply chain with the aim of ensuring safety and sustainability. We provide explanations at meetings of the Conference that cooperation of transportation companies is indispensable for the supply of asphalt, explanations about our security policy based on the revised Industrial Safety and Health Act, cases of incidents involving asphalt lorries and carbon neutral petroleum products, and exchange information and opinions.
