ENEX LIFE SERVICE Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Shigemichi Kato, Representative Director; hereinafter “ELS”), a subsidiary of ITOCHU ENEX CO., LTD. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Tomofumi Yoshida, Representative Director, President and CEO; hereinafter “ITOCHU ENEX”), announces the launch of the TERARIN AI service. This service visualizes the electricity for each device using cutting-edge and proprietary AI technology developed by Informetis Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Taro Tadano, CEO).

 

The TERARIN AI service visualizes power usage using AI technology to divide power usage data obtained every 30 minutes from household smart meters into five categories (air conditioning, refrigerator, standby power, lighting, and other devices) and estimate daily and device-specific power usage. It can also help reduce electricity costs and environmental impact by offering specific power-saving methods based on user power consumption patterns. This allows for an efficient use of energy that matches the customer's lifestyle.

This service is expected to be offered gradually to customers of ELS's TERASEL Denki. ELS is also looking into developing an optional higher-resolution service with real-time data using dedicated power sensors.
