ITOCHU ENEX Introduces TERASEL Solar, a Self-consumption Solar Power Generation Service, at Okayama Sales Office of KINUGASA TRANSPORT CORPORATION
ITOCHU ENEX CO., LTD. (Headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Kenji Okada, Representative Director, President and CEO; hereinafter referred to as "the Company") announces that it has introduced its self-consumption solar power generation service, TERASEL Solar, at Okayama Sales Office (Okayama-shi, Okayama) operated by KINUGASA TRANSPORT CORPORATION (Headquartered in Osaka-shi, Osaka;Yukihiro Kinugasa ,President, hereinafter referred to as "KINUGASA TRANSPORT").
This fixed-fee service installs solar power generation equipment on the rooftops of plants, warehouses, and other facilities to enable customers to consume the electricity they have generated themselves. In the current situation with every company being required to take environmental measures with the goal of establishing a carbon-free society by 2050, this business model enables customers to reduce CO2 emissions and energy costs through the consumption of eco-friendly electricity they have generated themselves from renewable energy sources.
The power consumption is expected to be reduced by approximately 29% and CO2 emissions are projected to decrease approximately 52 tons from the levels prior to the introduction of this service. The Company will bear the installation costs of the solar power generation equipment and will handle the burdensome task of managing and maintaining the equipment, making this model extremely easy for customers to introduce.
The Company will further strengthen its ties with KINUGASA TRANSPORT through this service, contributing to the creation of a sustainable society by continuing to provide a range of environmental products centered on the self-consumption solar power generation service, TERASEL Solar.
