ITOCHU ENEX Announces Introduction of a Self-consumption Solar Power Generation Service at Two Factories in Thailand Owned by FCC (THAILAND) Starting in December 2024
- Contributing to carbon neutrality goals with an estimated average annual reduction of 1,280t of CO2 and up to 40% reduction in grid electricity usage -

ITOCHU ENEX CO., LTD. (Headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Tomofumi Yoshida, Representative Director, President and CEO; hereafter “ITOCHU ENEX”) announces that its Group company, ITC ENEX (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (hereafter, “IET”), has introduced a self-consumption solar power generation service (hereafter, the “Service”) at two factories owned by FCC (THAILAND) CO., LTD., a group company of FCC Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Hamamatsu-shi, Shizuoka; Yoshitaka Saito, President and Representative Director), starting in December 2024.

The Service, which is provided by IET, installs solar power generation equipment on the rooftops of plants, warehouses, and other facilities owned and managed by customers, enabling them to consume the generated electricity.
The Service enables customers to reduce CO2 emissions and energy costs through the consumption of eco-friendly electricity they have generated themselves from renewable energy sources, toward the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The initial cost of installing the solar power generation equipment is assumed by IET, and after the introduction, the customer is charged a fixed monthly fee for using the equipment, including maintenance and inspection fees. This model makes the Service readily available for customers.

To achieve carbon neutrality, the ITOCHU ENEX Group will continue striving to provide eco-friendly energy services, such as making greater use of utilizing renewable energy and helping customers save energy and cut electricity costs.
