J-Credits to be added to Environmentally Friendly Gas Initiatives:
ITOCHU ENEX Starts Dealing in Carbon-neutral LP Gas using J-Credits
ITOCHU ENEX CO., LTD. (Headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Tomofumi Yoshida, Representative Director, President and CEO) has begun dealing in carbon-neutral LP gas using J-credits*1 at Home-Life Division Groups nationwide in June 2023. This initiative follows the use of voluntary credits*2 for carbon neutral LP Gas begun in October 2022.
Further, Home-Life Division Group Company offices*3 have switched entirely to carbon-neutral LP gas in order to reduce the burden on the environment from their business activities. (Expected CO2 offset of 382 t from April 2023)
Going forward, based on the Corporate Philosophy, "The Best Partner for Life and Society - with Energy, with the Car, with the Home -," we will contribute to the affluent lives of people and the achievement of the SDGs (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals) through our business activities.
*1 J-Credits are credits certified by the Japanese government and issued to corporations for their efforts in reducing or absorbing greenhouse gas emissions within Japan. Credits are earned through initiatives such as introducing energy-saving devices, generating renewable energy, or conserving forests.
