ITOCHU ENEX CO., LTD. (Headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Kenji Okada, Representative Director, President and CEO; hereinafter "ITOCHU ENEX") announced that Tokyu Construction Co., Ltd. (President: Mitsuhiro Terada; hereinafter " Tokyu Construction ") started to use the GTL fuel of ITOCHU ENEX in August 2021 on a national scale as part of its efforts for decarbonization.

The adoption of the GTL fuel is the first use case in which a construction company officially adopts the GTL fuel as its main fuel on a national scale.

 

Tokyu Construction has been taking a range of measures with a view toward the realization of decarbonization, one of the values that the company shares in VISION2030, "To zero, from zero. The environment and the excitement of the future."  As part of these efforts, the GTL fuel provided by  ITOCHU ENEX was adopted for the first time by the civil engineering department of the company's Nagoya Branch at a site (Motosu City, Gifu) for the construction (substructure work) of an elevated bridge and one other bridge at Nanasaki of the Tokai-Kanjo Expressway, and by the construction department of the Building Project East Japan Branch at a site (Kawasaki City, Kanagawa) (partner company: Saitogumi Co., Ltd.) for the new construction of the ESR Higashi Ogishima Distribution Center.
