● Preserving Environments
Renewal of a town as a habitat for Japanese cranes
We support preservation activities for Japanese cranes, a species endangered by reclamation and overhunting.
We give contributions to Naganuma, Hokkaido, which is setting up the environment that lovingly accepts and watches over Japanese cranes, renewing the town in a way that preserves its rich natural environment.
・ We co-sponsored the film, ''The Miracle Crane Dancing in Yumeno.''
The Miracle Crane Dancing in Yumeno'' is a documentary film that depicts the seven-year effort to bring back Japanese cranes, an endangered species, to the town. Japanese cranes disappeared from Naganuma Town, Hokkaido over 100 years ago. ITOCHU ENEX and ITOCHU ENEX HOME-LIFE HOKKAIDO co-sponsored the film, and call for the coexistence between nature and humans.

● Nurturing the Next Generation
・ Family Day
Once a year, we hold a Family Day event, where employees can bring their children to work to experience our company firsthand. Through activities such as exchanging handmade business cards with the president and other employees, and participating in office tours, children enjoy learning about the roles a company plays in a fun and engaging way as part of our commitment to supporting the next generation. For employees’ children who live far away, we send craft kits so they can enjoy the Family Day atmosphere at home, ensuring that children from all over Japan can take part in the event.
・ Forests in Osaka Cultivated together with Children
One of our group companies, ENEX FLEET CO., LTD., engages in community-based initiatives through our social contribution program, "EneFuri Smile," including support for children's welfare facilities and assistance with disaster recovery.
As part of "EneFuri Smile," we also focus on the conservation of greenery in the Hokusetsu area of Osaka Prefecture by supporting the Osaka Midori no Trust Association (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation). In particular, at Mikusayama "Zephyrus Forest" (Nose-cho), we hold events where children from welfare facilities go hiking while taking part in tree planting and forest maintenance. Through these satoyama conservation experiences, we work to pass on a rich natural environment to the next generation.
