The Certified Health & Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program recognizes large enterprises, SMEs and other organizations engaging in particularly outstanding efforts in health and productivity management, based on initiatives for overcoming health-related challenges in local communities, or for promoting health-conscious activities led by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.
Since November 2016, we have been promoting the Enex Early Bird working style reforms, and we have been certified as Health and Productivity Management Organization 500 every year since 2017.

We received the "Cancer Control Promotion Partner Award in the category of balancing treatment and work" at the fiscal 2020 awards for companies promoting cancer control. The award was given in recognition of the company's efforts to enhance its support systems and programs for balancing treatment and work so that employees can play an active role with peace of mind even in the face of cancer, illness, or injury.

Sports Promotion Company(Japanese page only)

Since FY2015,the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has certified companies that promote sports activities for employees and companies that are engaged in social contribution activities in the sports field as Sports Promotion Companies. Our company encourages employees to leave work on time and exercise, subsidizes some of the activities of internal groups engaged in sports, and conducts Ultimate Frisbee classes at elementary schools in cooperation with the Japan Flying Disc Association.

Sports Yell Company

The Japan Sports Agency runs the Sports Yell Company program, which certifies companies actively promoting measures to improve employees’ health through sport. The initiative aims to foster a social movement for sport by promoting sport, particularly among people in the prime of their lives who lack exercise.Our company promotes working style reforms, which are based on a three-pronged strategy of eliminating excessive working hours, promoting employee health and improving productivity.

Based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children, the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare certifies companies as child-rearing support companies once they meet certain criteria, among companies that have formulated a general business operator action plan. Our company is expanding our system to support the balance between work and various life events, such as childbirth, childcare, and family care, and we are enhancing systems that exceed the statutory requirements,shorter working hours, as well as various types of special leave.

Tokyo Workstyle Reform Pledge Company(Japanese page only)

This system was established by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to improve its working style and the taking of leave. Tokyo Workstyle Reform Pledge Company refers to companies that work on their entire company by specifying goals and contents of initiatives over the course of two to three years to reduce long working hours for employees and to encourage the taking of annual paid vacations. Based on the Enex Early Bird work style reform, we are encouraging an increase in the rate of taking leave and a reduction in overtime hours.

Nikkei SDGs Management Survey(Japanese page only)

Nikkei SDGs Management Survey evaluates and rates companies' initiatives regarding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The evaluation is based on a total score divided into four fields: SDG strategy and economic value, social value, environmental value, and governance. In the second survey conducted in the current fiscal year, 731 Japanese companies, including listed companies, participated, and ITOCHU ENEX was awarded three stars in the overall ranking. At the ITOCHU ENEX Group, we will continue to engage in business activities that create and provide diverse value, as well as in social contribution activities, to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs.

 NIKKEI Smart Work(Japanese page only)

This program was launched in 2017 by Nikkeisya, Inc. to rate companies in terms of Smart Work management, which is a management strategy of ensuring diverse and flexible work styles to make the most of the workforce and establish a virtuous circle of continuously generating innovation and cultivating new markets to maximize productivity and the performance of the organization.The evaluation is based on survey results and other data in three key corporate capabilities, namely personnel utilization, innovation and market cultivation. The Company received 3 stars in 2020. With a focus on our Enex Early Bird initiative for work-style reform, we will improve personnel programs to build a worker-friendly culture.


We were selected as one of the JPX-Nikkei Mid and Small Cap Index constituent stocks in FY2018 and FY2019. The index is a mid and small stock index composed of highly attractive companies for investors, that is jointly calculated by the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Nikkei Inc.

Japanese Companies' Website Ranking

The All Japanese Listed Companies' Website Ranking is evaluated by Nikko Investor Relations Co., Ltd. based on 163 objective evaluation items in terms of the three perspectives of ease of understanding, ease of use, and information allocation. The ranking is for the websites of all listed companies in Japan (3,844 companies in FY2020) and investigates how much of each particular element is available for corporate stakeholders to acquire information and understand the situation. Our website was selected as one of the best sites, first in FY2019, and now for the second straight year. We renewed the corporate site in August 2019 to make it easy for all stakeholders to use. In addition, we redesigned the sustainability page in December 2020.
We are taking steps to redesign the English-language website.

GOMEZ IR Site Ranking 2020(Japanese page only)

The ranking reflects the results of Morningstar Japan K.K.'s survey of the websites of 3,679 listed Japanese companies evaluating 240 items in four categories: website usability, enhancement of financial and business performance information, enhancement of the company and management information, and willingness and innovativeness regarding information disclosure.
After being evaluated in FY2020, our company received the Bronze Award for the first time. By category, our website was 58th of 3,697 companies, primarily reflecting the high evaluation of the website's usability, and 14th of the 342 companies in our industry (wholesale business). Going forward, we will continue to improve the website's content and features while also striving to proactively share information.

ISO 14001

ISO14001 is an international standard for environmental management systems. It outlines an organizational framework for protecting the environment and responding to environmental changes, while at the same time maintaining a balance with socioeconomic needs.
Our Group has constructed an environmental management system based on ISO14001 and has established a functional environmental management system. In addition, we have clarified environmental improvement activities and formulated an environmental improvement plan.
